This is a
simple yet elegant dessert that will delight your dinner guests!
3 cups fresh
ripe strawberries (slice if they are large, if they're small leave them whole)
4 Tablespoons sugar
2-3 Tablespoons Grand Marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur
Juice and grated peel of one large orange
2 cups heavy
8 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
strawberries and add the sugar, Grand Marnier and orange juice/peel. Refrigerate
and let sit for 2-3 hours. When ready to serve, whip the cream, adding the sugar
and vanilla. Layer berries and whipped cream in tall wine glasses or champagne
flutes, topping with a single whole berry. Garnish with mint if desired.
